I wrote about the pros and cons of locs this post. You should check it out. As I mentioned, you still have to take care of your locs as you would with your natural or afro hair. However, because of the nature of locs, you have to do this differently from your natural/afro/relaxed hair. All the good locticians I have spoken to say the best care for your locs is to leave them alone. I totally agree but me I cannot leave my hair alone for too long. If you are like me, then this post is for you. My regimen: I currently wash, condition, moisturise and style my locs. Washing: I wash my hair every 2 weeks. I am not super religious about it. Some people wash every month. Do what works for you. I wash this often cos I love to feel water on my hair. I use black…

I finally locked my hair and its the best decision I have made for my hair in a long time. My hair is growing and thriving and I am happy. WHY!! I was tired of combing, tugging, pulling, styling and trying to be creative with my natural hair. Every style I tried was a fail and at some point, I just got tired of everything.  I was tired of wigs and braids. I was tired of failed styles and just touching my hair. Cutting my hair was not an option because I already look younger than my age and going bald makes one look wayyyyy younger. The baldie look isn’t also for me. Relaxing my hair was also unappealing because of how fine and thin my hair is. I am not against relaxed hair. I just don’t like the sleek look on me. HOW!! One day I googled where to loc…

Its been a stressful couple of weeks for almost everyone around the world. I’m sure even if you live under a rock, you would have heard about either COVID 19 or The Corona Virus. 🦠 After going through a panic attack caused by the consumption of way too much information, I decided to start focusing on the positives, the good news and the little things I can do while sitting my pretty butt in my house. This post in no way attempts to take away from or minimize the suffering of people who are seriously battling this disease, taking care of loved ones or the heroes who have to be in the front lines every day. We pray for, support, applaud you all. I also hope we are all able to make better decisions that will ensure no one is ever put into a situation like this again. Now to…

When I decided to become a product manager, I had no idea what to do and how to do it. I didn’t know any product manager in person and i had no idea what I was doing for a long time. Let me tell you how i made my decision and worked towards becoming a Product Manager. I was in the middle of a one on one with my manager in 2016 and we got stuck on this “where do you see yourself in 5 years” question. I was kinda tired of my role and I was looking for something a little more challenging. There was really nothing new to be done. I had this whole pitch prepared about my plans for my job blah blah blah that i didn’t really believe in and before I finished explaining, my manager just mentioned; “I think you will be a great product…

I had a valentines day gift post scheduled to publish today but unfortunately i want in the mood to edit any post about valentine gifts. Fortunately, i remembered that there was a time i use to write hilarious posts about my experiences just for fun. I am way put together now but i used to be an awkward, clumsy person. I was always in some unfortunate situation and I hated it so much.. But looking back now.. these situations make for the best stories. So for this valentine day, I have decided to resurrect one i really liked. I initially wrote the story on Naija Single Girls blog and on this blog again in 2018 . PS: If you cant stand grammatical errors then don’t bother clicking. I tried to keep the post as similar as possible to the original, but i included more context and some new opinions in…
