Ya’ll that are regular visitors to the blog know about how I shouted about the wonders of Piggybank and how it helped me save 1 million Naira. Heck, I even got featured on Linda Ikeji. If you have not seen the post, here it is. That was almost 3 years ago and I am back with an update post on Piggybank now called Piggyvest. Apart from the name change, they have gotten a lot more popular, credible and they do a lot more than just a piggybank. Here are some things you’ll want to know about the new Piggybank: PiggyBank is now called Piggyvest. Yea, I know.. Piggybank sounds a lot better than Piggyvest but who are we to complain. They had their resons as explained in this blog post.. They are no longer a small company. They got investors who have given them or at least pledged to give…

Social media addiction is a common problem amongst millennials. It’s actually a big deal guys. You might not even know you are suffering from it until you do a proper internal review of yourself. Its a problem you might have to diagnose yourself and most probably treat all by yourself.  I struggled with it for a while which I documented in this blogpost here:  and while I’m not totally “cured”, I can confidently say I’m no longer as addicted as I used to be.  Deleting, taking a break or fasting from social media is one way to manage social media addiction but its not the only way. Its easier said than done and Its also not sustainable for some other people. There’s the issue of your work or business depending on social media to grow or Social Media being the only way you can communicate with family and friends.   I really like…

I attended the Femfunds 2.0 event and it was a life changing experience. … well maybe not life changing but it was a really good event which I regretted not dragging all my friends too. I saw a promoted post of the Femfunds event on Instagram and I went ahead to register for it.. I usually register for events like this and forget but I actually put this on my calendar and set a reminder. I didn’t know what exactly to expect but I had a good feeling about it. It was a free event which was aimed at connecting and empowering women in their businesses and careers. Over 1000 women attended and I’m sure no one was disappointed. Why were we impressed? Firstly, the event started on time, which is super rare in Nigeria, the hall was well decorated and organized with professional ushers, there was a cute photo wall which all the ladies loved,…

The Hate U Give: THUG. It’s rare to see a great movie adaptation of a book but I saw the movie of this book last week and I think they nailed it. I loved it. This book review has been sitting in my drafts for months and I’m just going to publish it without editing much. Angie Thomas is a good writer .. That’s the author of this book btw… This book blew my mind, I almost didn’t believe that this is her first book. Just putting it out there.. I hope my first book blows minds as this one did… The hate you give is a fictional novel that gives a victims perspective to the police vs black people shootings in America. I read stories and watch videos about the shootings and Black lives matter movement on social media but I didn’t really understand it. A lot of things just…

I started reading the book of Esther this month as its the bible chapter of the month for my online bible study group and I had so many thoughts why I have decided to share here. I have studied the book of Esther before but the thing about studying the bible is that you learn new things every single time you read a passage again. So lets study Esther like its our first time. My fun summary of Esther Chapter 1: In a land so far away… Cue Game of thrones music There was this beautiful and wealthy kingdom that stretched out from India to Ethiopia.. (that’s like half of Asia btw) .. It was a very large kingdom. In this Kingdom, there lived a King with too much money and an a drinking problem. He ruled his land well, we cant say the same about his household. He got bored one day and…

Christmas is 8 weeks away and I don’t know what else November is useful for other than to remind us that Its almost the end of the year and we all didn’t achieve our new year resolutions…  Lol. Welcome to November guys. How was October? October was pretty uneventful for me. Or maybe not.  Let me try to recap. The month started weird with my mum being sick and I had to spend the first week of the month in the hospital and then the next week at home so that she will stay in one place.  Half of the month gone. Just like that. I was awarded a workspace voucher by LSETF  for my business and I started working from WorkStation…  The vibe there is so cool and the people too. My friend from church coincidentally works there and convinced me to choose them. I did but I didn’t…

Lean In By Sheryl Sandberg is an amazing book.. It’s very feminist and totally worth your time. Sheryl Sandberg is currently the number 2 person at Facebook, she has also worked at Mckinsey and Google. I totally relate to her because I’m in Tech just like she is and I intend to get to and surpass her achievements. She is totally Career goals for women in tech and business! I’ll just keep this review straight to the point and just highlight the points that stood out to me.. The aim of the book: I have written this book to encourage women to dream big, forge a path through the obstacles, and achieve their full potential. I am hoping that each woman will set her own goals and reach for them with gusto. … The book is not about becoming a CEO or top 10 business tips that made Sheryl succeed…

Taking care of your Hair in a new location can be a chore. You don’t know if your hair will corporate with the weather or not, the accessibility of the products you like, hair stylists, Activities you will do, cos even some kind of WATER. Can be bad for your hair. Well, I am not about to miss out of a great opportunity cos of my Hair!!! Whenever I’m going to travel locally or internationally, the things I do are: Research the place. What’s the weather there like? % of black people that live there, where will I be staying, activities I might get to do. Etc. Pack hair staples in mini bottles…

October 1st was Nigeria’s independence but not a lot of Nigerians celebrated Independence day .. We really don’t have so much to celebrate apart from the fact that we are alive. Nigeria is a land of so much potential and opportunities but sometimes it’s easier to negotiate with mosquitoes than to access these opportunities in the country. Alright… I’m not here to make you sadder than you already were. Let’s start over. It’s been a while guys. Who missed me. I have a very silly excuse to why I didn’t post anything last month. I couldn’t find pictures to go with my scheduled blog posts. Silly excuse yea. But that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Tongue Out But honestly, Unlike other lifestyle bloggers… and normal human beings. I don’t like to post my pictures online. I don’t even like to take pictures like that!! Ok, I like…
