I am writing this on day 10 of my Covid 19 induced self-isolation journey and ill be lying if I say I have been productive. I have been as lazy as Garfield and now I am beginning to get cabin fever. I rotate between sleep, work, Instagram, Twitter, Netflix and WhatsApp.. rinse and repeat daily. Now that you are here, you are probably looking for activities that you can do in this quarantine period. Your wait is over.  I created this notion page with a comprehensive list of resources and tools and activities to do from home for fun or for work. Please check it out and let me know what you think. Link here Below are my favourite activities: Sleep is obviously a top fav. Unproductive things I am doing by myself Eating and cooking. Sisiyemmies tutorials are my best.  Social media. I haven’t joined Tiktok but there’s no…

When I decided to become a product manager, I had no idea what to do and how to do it. I didn’t know any product manager in person and i had no idea what I was doing for a long time. Let me tell you how i made my decision and worked towards becoming a Product Manager. I was in the middle of a one on one with my manager in 2016 and we got stuck on this “where do you see yourself in 5 years” question. I was kinda tired of my role and I was looking for something a little more challenging. There was really nothing new to be done. I had this whole pitch prepared about my plans for my job blah blah blah that i didn’t really believe in and before I finished explaining, my manager just mentioned; “I think you will be a great product…

I had a valentines day gift post scheduled to publish today but unfortunately i want in the mood to edit any post about valentine gifts. Fortunately, i remembered that there was a time i use to write hilarious posts about my experiences just for fun. I am way put together now but i used to be an awkward, clumsy person. I was always in some unfortunate situation and I hated it so much.. But looking back now.. these situations make for the best stories. So for this valentine day, I have decided to resurrect one i really liked. I initially wrote the story on Naija Single Girls blog and on this blog again in 2018 . PS: If you cant stand grammatical errors then don’t bother clicking. I tried to keep the post as similar as possible to the original, but i included more context and some new opinions in…

Losing a job or being out of active employment can be an awkward and depressing time for a lot of people. You see your friends talking about their work experiences, going out with colleagues, complaining about traffic and you cant participate in the conversations because you are most probably stuck at home, thinking about your life, probably broke and depressed. I can totally relate to this as I was outta a job for a period of time in 2018 and while it was a slow and awkward period, I decided to make the best outta my free time, while doing my profitable side hustles. Note: This post is targeted at people who are unemployed but have a side hustle, savings or daddys money to fall back on. Please if you have family responsibilities, you should focus your time on trying to make sure that ya’ll dont starve. Sure it’s very easy…

One question I get a lot is how do to find events to go to in Lagos. I don’t know why people ask me this because I could be one of the most boring people ever. me, everyday But one of the advantages of owning a business in Lagos is knowing about the latest things going on in town. which include events, brands, influencers etc. Lagos is a city that never sleeps but because of all chaos and noise, it might actually be difficult to find out what exactly to do during the weekend/Public holidays or days you just want to chill. This is made worse because of how unstructured everything is in Nigeria. Please don’t go near the Cinemas, Beaches and malls except you want to be swallowed by a mob of people who also don’t know what else to do with their weekends… While I might not be…

Ya’ll that are regular visitors to the blog know about how I shouted about the wonders of Piggybank and how it helped me save 1 million Naira. Heck, I even got featured on Linda Ikeji. If you have not seen the post, here it is. That was almost 3 years ago and I am back with an update post on Piggybank now called Piggyvest. Apart from the name change, they have gotten a lot more popular, credible and they do a lot more than just a piggybank. Here are some things you’ll want to know about the new Piggybank: PiggyBank is now called Piggyvest. Yea, I know.. Piggybank sounds a lot better than Piggyvest but who are we to complain. They had their resons as explained in this blog post.. They are no longer a small company. They got investors who have given them or at least pledged to give…

Social media addiction is a common problem amongst millennials. It’s actually a big deal guys. You might not even know you are suffering from it until you do a proper internal review of yourself. Its a problem you might have to diagnose yourself and most probably treat all by yourself.  I struggled with it for a while which I documented in this blogpost here:  and while I’m not totally “cured”, I can confidently say I’m no longer as addicted as I used to be.  Deleting, taking a break or fasting from social media is one way to manage social media addiction but its not the only way. Its easier said than done and Its also not sustainable for some other people. There’s the issue of your work or business depending on social media to grow or Social Media being the only way you can communicate with family and friends.   I really like…
